Sarah Guppy - hand built ceramics<\/p>
Prior to discovering clay I worked as a gilder and painter, and continue to do, however clay is an absorbing medium with endless potential.<\/p>
I began working in clay with Bronwynne Cornish and soon joined Auckland Studio Potters where for many years I was taught by Peter Lange, Peter Stichbury and Renton Murray.<\/p>
Twice I have been selected for the Wai Clay awards at the Waikato Museum, and have exhibited in Wellington at Visual Culture, Artform Matakana, City Gallery Invercargill, and Whitespace in Auckland.<\/p>
I work on commissions and sell at selected art outlets.\u00a0<\/p>
